Below is a sample of various digital paintings I have created over the past couple years primarily using Procreate.
Palimpest
2023
There is a quote from The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue by VE Schwabb that has stuck with me since I read it.
“Palimpsest. She doesn’t know the word just yet, but fifty years from now, in a Paris salon, she will hear it for the first time, the idea of the past blotted out, written over by the present, and think of this moment in Le Mans. A place she knows, and yet doesn’t” (Schwabb).
This idea of Palimpest inspired my final project for one of my classes. I developed a script and created thumbnails for a limited series about the main character, who can be seen in the images, as she uncovers the past of an abandoned city and by doing so, her own.

Expression Study
2023
This series of portraits was created for my Digital Painting class. I wanted to explore the relation ship between color and emotion. I did research on the ‘7 universally recognized facial expressions’ and learned that these are; anger, contempt, joy, disgust, fear, sadness, and surprise (seen left to right below).
